PART

Shop floor operator loads the part in front of the robot, and locks it to eliminate movement and vibrations.

Initiate
Operation

Operator selects the part from the drop down list and presses Scan&Sand™ to initiate the sanding process.

Walk
away

Operator does not need to tend the robot, and can leave to perform other tasks. Scan&Sand™ automatically scans the part, and performs sanding that meets desired quality.

How it works

SCANNING

Scan&Sand™ system uses the onboard camera to automatically scan the part placed in the robotic cell, and generates the part model online.

PLANNING

Scan&Sand™ uses the generated model to automatically program the robot motion, and uses pre-determined process parameters for sanding.

SANDING

Scan&Sand™ uses sensors to monitor the performance while sanding and adapts robot motion to ensure consistent quality.
